History:

Allison Adams is the daughter of a family with an extensive background in diplomatic service. Her father was formerly, among other positions, the U.S. ambassador to Germany, but retired to the Northern Virginia area when Allison was in her early teens. Shortly thereafter, Allison's Extraordinary abilities manifested themselves, though she and her parents were able to conceal her talents throughout the remainder of her high school and college years. When President Roosevelt made what has come to be known as the "America Regrets" speech on March 10, 1940 in which he called for any and all American XOs to report to the government for induction into military service, Allison - against the strenuous objections of her parents - was the first of the handful of XOs to respond, and by far the most powerful. She was soon given the code name American Angel.

The military, though impressed by her abilities, was disappointed by her gender, and though willing to train her in a variety of military and martial arts, was hesitant to put her on active duty as America's first public XO. She continued to train in seclusion, mostly under the tutelage of Capt. Jack Garvey, until August 17, 1941, when on her own initiative she intervened in the crisis threatening Washington, working as one of the group of XOs who would soon form the U.S. Aces. With grudging permission for her military superiors, she became a founding member of the Aces, and quickly assumed the role of secretary for the group. In both her roles as the Aces' secretary and as an active member, she is fully engaged in the group's operations, and is considered one of the most powerful of the group's members.
